Blue Eyes Cry

Slick, modern and funky are words often used to describe multi-award winning blues band Blue Eyes Cry. Hardworking would be another.

Since the May 2013 release of their debut album, Sleepin’ Alone, Blue Eyes Cry have gone from strength to strength. Upon release, the album saw two consecutive months at number one in the Australian Blues and Roots Airplay Chart, and continued to appear in the chart’s Top 25 for the next 12 months.

Following this, the band was awarded two prestigious Chain Awards in 2014 for New Talent of the Year and Song of the Year. Lead singer, Iseula Hingano, was awarded Female Artist of the Year in the 2013 Victorian and Tasmanian Blues Music Awards as well the band was awarded an Honourable Mention in the 2013 International Song Writing Competition
Blue Eyes Cry have made the journey to perform at some of Australia’s biggest music festivals including Blues on Broadbeach, Wangaratta Jazz Festival, Gympie Muster, Apollo Bay Music Festival, Bay of Islands Festival (N.Z.), Blues at Bridgetown, and Sydney Blues and Roots Festival to name a few. In between, Blue Eyes Cry can be found performing at many of the live music venues across Australia. It’s fair to say that they’re just as comfortable with large festival stages as they are with the sticky carpets of inner-city pubs.

Upon recording their second album “Pull Me In” 2015 , the band has teamed up with award winning producer and engineer Anthony ‘Tok’ Norris . “Pull Me In” landed at No.2 on the Austalian Blues And Roots Charts and remained in the Top 25 for 10 months. The album encapsulates the energy of what many consider to be Blue Eye Cry’s greatest strength, their live show, whilst still having the production and refinement expected from a studio release. The end result is a slick, modern blues album with emotive song writing that goes beyond the standard blues formula, whilst still paying homage to the great artists of the genre. Blue Eyes Cry is Iseula Hingano ( Vocals ), Nathan Brett ( Guitar ), Cameron Smith ( Drums ), and Stuart Prendergast ( Bass ).
